Frequently Asked Questions

How did you become a breathwork teacher and energy healer?

I came to study healing very organically. I got sober at 21 years old and over the years have built a practice that stems from my desire to grow and connect with the world around me.

I’ve been practicing breathwork for over a decade and took my first yoga teacher training in 2011 as a way to deepen my practice. Since then I have become certified in Reiki and Somatic Trauma Healing and at the encouragement of my teachers began teaching public classes and private students in Los Angeles in 2012. Teaching is such a gift and I love sharing practice with my community.

How did you make the transition from artist to wellness expert?
Great question! I did an interview that addresses this and more!

Can we meet for juice to talk about how to get started in the wellness field?
I would love to meet you but these days I don’t have enough time to meet up with everyone that reaches out in person. If you really want to meet me I suggest coming to one of my classes or public events listed on the offerings page. I would be happy to chat with you afterwards!
Are you looking for interns?
I am always looking for interns. If you are based in Los Angeles and want to intern please email me a little about yourself, skillset and availability.

Is it okay if I write you an email?
Yes! I love hearing from you, it really brightens my life. I try my best to respond to every email but unfortunately I am not always able to. I receive many emails from blog readers and I love them so much. I wish I could get back to each one but it’s just me responding and I don’t always have time with teaching, clients, maintaining relationships, research, self care and regular life responsibilities! I also manage all of my social media outlets which is time consuming as well. Please know that I read all of your emails and am very grateful for them.
Who did your website?
I had an amazing team of women, all of whom I’d recommend in an instant! Erin Jane Riley of Jane Reaction designed the site, Braid Creative did the branding and Brandi Beronskie created all of the coding for the site. Hire them!
I love your photos and video who shot them?
The ever inspiring an talented Lani Trock took all of the photos on the site. She is a true gem.
Will you write about my project or product?
I take on a very small number of sponsored posts. Please email me specifics about what you have in mind. I don’t always respond to projects/products I don’t feel would be a good fit. Also, I do partner with brands and people I love on my Journal and that is something we can discuss as well.
Can I submit an item for a giveaway?
At this time I am not hosting giveaways on my site.
Why was my comment removed?
The blog is a platform for encouragement and self discovery. I strive to keep the comment section a safe space for the many readers that pour their hearts into what they share. It’s fine to disagree and engage in constructive criticism, however, disrespectful comments will be removed quickly.
